Some cards...

I've managed to spend some time making cards these past few weeks, some were design team work and others were just because I fancied digging out some older stuff that I haven't used in a while.

I'm still keeping up with my photo a day stuff (although some days I don't do anything interesting!!) but I don't want to fill up my blog with the photographs. I need to find somewhere else to keep them as I like to use my blog for recording what I have been doing craft-wise. I spent a while during the week going back to the start and looking at the stuff I was making a while back, it was interesting :)

Hmm - January?

January seems to be taking a long time to get to the end - why didn't December take this long huh? School is keeping me busy busy busy as we've started teaching in a whole new way with new planning, a different curriculum and new record keeping but I'm liking it.

I am doing okay with my Project 365 photographs. I am trying to make them meaningful to me and not just include random stuff so they are all things I have done (like spend an entire morning attempting to get the kids in my class to sort the plastic bears into colour families), places I have been, stuff that has happened etc. Although I am taking them each day it is taking me a couple of days to download them and edit them but I am feeling happy that I am doing it and enjoying doing it.

I've also done a spot of crafting too over the weekend which was good for my creative soul. Some things I can't share but these two I can. I love that lil' froggy so much - I think he will be appearing on lots of cards!

And Jenni, if you are reading this sweetie I am so excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to work ...

School started today after the Christmas holidays ~ by 9.30 it was like we'd never been away!
I have been taking my project 365 photographs during the last few days, bit of a difference in todays as I took it on the way to work and it was dark ~ and snowy!! yesterday the skies were bright and we visited the castle in the town where I live

Today I was hosting the challenge over at The Sweet Shoppe and I made this card for my challenge example

Adventuring ...

We've been adventuring (is that even a word?) again today - making the most of feeling better and the last few days of our holiday. It also meant that I got to take interesting pictures for my Project 365, next week when I'm back to school things might be diferent  Yesterday we started to take down the Christmas decorations, everything looks bare now but it's nice not to have the clutter. Today we drove down to the seaside, you can't tell how bitterly cold it actually was but I swear my cheeks froze solid!

2009...

Goodbye 2008 with your illness and bad health for our family and hello 2009!!

So Christmas has been and gone and so has my birthday and I missed both with a horrible cold and a visit to the local hospital walk in centre for a bad bad chest infection - coughing up red stuff is not a good thing to be doing the day after Christmas

Anyway, it's the start of a new year. I didn't personally see it in as I was fast asleep tucked up in my bed so my New Year's day started at about 11AM this morning. I'm not really a resolution person but I have decided to make more time for crafting just for me, doing things that I want to do and to get back into scrapbooking. With that in mind I am starting the journey known as Project 365 and taking a photograph every day of this year. So I'm on track, keeping up with it all so far

Apart from being sick, Christmas did come to our house and Santa Claus left a lovely pile of goodies with my name on. Lots of pyjamas (do people think I live in my jim-jams or something??), chocolate, crafty stuff and a gorgeous new camera to replace my trusty little Canon Ixus that I dropped and damaged - an even smaller, even better Canon Ixus :) It's brilliant and I love it - Thank You Santa!! If I ever manage to get round to downloading the pictures we took with my big camera I might share some Christmas photographs soon.
